Bright annealed stainless steel is steel polished to almost a mirror shine. These sheets can then be processed into anything that other stainless steels can be used for, with no degradation of resistance to rust or organic degradation.
Annealed steel is produced by heat treating the piece of metal, creating a mirror shine, then cooling and allowing to settle – sometimes it is then lightly buffed to bring up the shine and remove imperfections, while smoothing the surface somewhat. Used in a variety of applications including home finishing, appliance finishing, cookware, hospitals and kitchens, the bright finish is a great way to increase the feeling of ‘space’ in a room, as the light refraction is amazing, this steel is still tough enough to withstand most of the rigours of daily life.
Produced in sheets or ready moulded into other design needs, this type of stainless steel is often used in nightclubs and other places as cladding for interior walls.
